Company History

· Established in 1985 with 4 employees

· 1989 in house design department opened

· 1991 accredited with BS5750 pt2, now

· ISO 9001:2008

· 1992 relocated to purpose built 6,500 sq. ft. factory

· 1993 first CAD station purchased

· 1997 floor space increased to 13,000 sq. ft.

· 1999 first Co-ordinate measuring machine installed

· 2009 Investment in EDM and Grinding departments

· 2010 25th anniversary

Quality Standards

Durham Precision Engineering has always placed a high level of emphasis on quality, from the way we deal with our clients to the manufacture of their items.

In 1991 we were one of the first toolmaking companies to be successfully assessed to BS 5750 part 2, thanks to our systems and procedures that were already in place.

We now hold ISO 9001:2008, which covers all of our manufacturing and design processes.

We believe strongly in continuous improvement which is why are always looking to develop our manufacturing methods and processes.

This is done by continual investment in systems, machinery and the training of our staff.

Programmers/ operators with Heidenhain and Fanuc control experience able to produce your own program from the provided information.

Excellent package including BUPA and Pension scheme.

CNC Turning

Programmers/ operators with Fanuc control experience and be able to produce your own program from the information supplied.

Toolmakers

Time served Toolmakers with experience of working in a busy sub-contract environment & able to competently use manual milling machines, lathes, surface & cylindrical grinders
