New machinery Installation
After the successful installation of a Deckel Maho 63V in October 2005 Durham Precision Engineering have once again found the need to increase their CNC milling capacity.
"Due to the increase in demand for our precision CNC milling services we have bought and installed a Bridgeport VMC 800xp2 CNC milling machine" says managing director Tom Stoddart. "This is our second VMC 800 and was chosen because of the reliability and versatility the first machine demonstrated."
This machine has a maximum capacity of 800 x 510 x 600mm and a table size of 1000 x 490mm. With the addition of a Nikon 4th axis and through spindle coolant, coupled with a motor capable of spindle speeds from 40 - 6,000 rpm makes this VMC 800 a welcome addition to our machining capacity.
This machine will help reduce lead times for precision CNC milled components for all of our clients.
